Teaching
I taught digital filmmaking full-time for five years and part-time for two more at SAE Expression College in Emeryville, after starting there as an adjunct in 2011, and taught digital video at Diablo Valley College. I wrote the syllabi and outcomes for eight of the sixteen courses in the Digital Film degree, supervised more than a hundred student productions from pitch to delivery, and was named Digital Filmmaking Instructor of the Year in 2014.
Student productions
A compilation of student productions I supervised: narrative shorts, music videos, documentaries and experimental work. Students did the work; my job was the brief, the crew structure, the dailies, and getting the thing finished.

- Avid Certified Instructor.
- Student films from my DVC class took top prizes at the 2017 Student Art Showcase; a former Expression student won the Social Justice Award at the Oakland International Film Festival.
- Ran equipment evaluation and purchasing, camera demonstrations (Sony, RED), open-house and summer-camp workshops, and the program's technology committee.
- Managed seven academic computer labs and a Final Cut Pro lab earlier in my career, so I am comfortable owning the issue room and the inventory system.
